PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for multi-language and multi-culture supports in a data processing system. SOLUTION: Different language characteristics 210 and area characteristics 208 are packaged in a data processing system 100. The language characteristics 210 control the selection of a natural language to be used for a user interface text and the order of classification for text base items to be displayed on a user interface.
