<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display only some of documents or vary the size of its display area through easy operation while mutually related multimedia documents consisting of images and characters are present and displayed at the same time. SOLUTION: This device comprises a storage part 12 for storing pieces of multimedia information, a display device 11, a display processing part 10 for generating display information, a document selection part 5 which selects a desired document to be displayed, and a display area varying means (area frame movable state decision part 6 and area frame movement part 7) which varies the display area of the selected document. When one of related multimedia documents is selected while they are displayed, the display area varying means displays displays only the document and erases other documents, or enlarges and displays the document at the part where other documents are displayed. When the resetting of the selection is instructed, the display is put back into the state wherein the documents are displayed.</p> |
