A method for displaying an external temperature of a vehicle is provided to prevent malfunction of an air conditioner caused by an error of the external temperature of the vehicle. A method for displaying an external temperature of a vehicle includes steps of detecting an external temperature(S100) and comparing a temperature of cooling water with a predetermined temperature(S200). If the temperature of cooling water is lower than the predetermined temperature, a detected external temperature is displayed(S250). If the temperature of cooling water is higher than the predetermined temperature, a speed of the vehicle is detected(S300). If the speed of the vehicle is higher than a predetermined vehicle speed, the detected external temperature is displayed. In addition, the speed of the vehicle is lower than the predetermined vehicle speed, the previously detected external temperature is displayed(S350).
