PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge system, securing a curled medium sheet to be suitably supplied to a discharge nip. SOLUTION: This discharge system includes: a tray 124 for the medium sheet 12; rotary transport elements 116, 118 forming a discharge nip 114 for discharging the sheet 12 onto the tray 124; a guide plate 112 having the surface 111 for guiding the sheet 12 to the discharge nip 114; and a rotary wheel 172 having bristles 174 for guiding the sheet 12 toward the discharge nip 114, wherein the wheel 172 faces the surface 111 of the guide plate 112. At least one driven transport belt 118 forms one of the transport elements 116, 118 demarcating the discharge nip 114, the guide plate 112 passes the peripheries of two pulleys 120, 122 in the substantially half-turn state, and the transport belt 118 passes the peripheries of two pulleys.
