PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crime prevention device for a building using an elevator capable of finding a suspicious person in a landing using a photographing means installed in a car of the elevator. SOLUTION: This crime prevention device for a building using an elevator capable of preventing crime from occurring in the building by moving a car 2 by driving a motor 9 comprises a crime prevention camera 1 installed in the car 2 and photographing the inside of the car and areas near a landing, a detecting section 28a for detecting whether a landing call button 15a and a car call button 5a are pressed or not, and a movement control section 28f for moving the car 1 to a specific floor when the call detecting section 28a detects that the landing call button 15a and the car call button 5a are not pressed.
