<p>The valve plug (3) between the inlet and outlet is opened and shut by a float, dependent on the level in the cistern. Part of the outlet forms a spiral (38) imparting swirl to the water flowing into the cistern. There can be a filler pipe (27) following the spiral and whose bottom end (28) remains immersed in the water when this is at its lowest level, while the spiral can join on to the pipe inside wall. There can be a throttle following the outlet, formed by a portion of the spiral which is of reduced cross-section. The spiral can be formed between a tapering portion (30) and a mating one with internal thread in the housing into which it screws.</p> |
