PURPOSE: A method for displaying a level of a music signal using a recording media is provided to directly obtain level data from play control information, and to display the level data in real time. Therefore, it is possible to reduce hardware, and to prevent load of a play operation. CONSTITUTION: Data detected from a pick-up(20) is inputted to a DSP(Digital Signal Processor)(40). The DSP(40) stores sub channel data in a memory(90). A microcomputer(170) reads out a Q frame, and requests a control necessary for an audio restoration to the DSP(40). The DSP(40) performs a digital signal process to an inputted music signal, and outputs an audio signal to a D/A(Digital To Analog) converter(50). The outputted audio signal is amplified/outputted by an amplifier(51), and played as an audible sound through a speaker. The microcomputer(170) outputs the level data from the memory(90) to a displayer(80). The displayer(80) displays a level for the audio signal.
