The engine comprises a cylinder piston connected via a rod (6) and its wide end with a crankpin (3) of crankshaft (1). Between the crankpin and the wide end an eccentric is rotatably positioned so as to change the stroke of the piston. The rotation of the eccentric (5) is adjusted via a lever (7), which is firmly fixed to the eccentric at one end and sliding within a component of the engine at the other end. The latter end slides approximately transversely to cylinder direction.
