PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that an image forming apparatus gets larger, that the number of prints per unit time is a few, and that many image formation processing devices are required. SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus provided with an intermediate transfer belt to which a toner image on a photoreceptor drum is transferred, a color image on the intermediate transfer belt is transferred to transfer paper by a transfer means. The apparatus has 1st and 2nd image forming units (I and II) arranged along the intermediate transfer belt (10) by leaving space in between, and the 1st image forming unit is equipped with one photoreceptor drum and a developing means for developing an electrostatic latent image on the photoreceptor drum with toner of color A and a developing means for developing it with toner of color B, and the 2nd image forming unit is equipped with one photoreceptor drum and a developing means for developing the electrostatic latent image on the photoreceptor drum with toner of color C and a developing means for developing it with black toner.
