<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration control device possible to be used for a columnar structure, having a vibration control function in horizontal two-dimensional directions and an easy tuning function, and having excellent environment resistance and durability. <P>SOLUTION: This vibration control device has a cylindrical cover 8, a spring rod 1 arranged inside the cover and fitted to the cover for partial fixation and extended in the axial direction of the cover and formed from a material having a large vibration attenuating ability, and a weight 11 fitted to the spring rod at a position separated from the fixed part of the spring rod in the axial direction and arranged with a clearance between the inner surface of the cover.
