A multipotent stem cell derived from placenta tissue and cellular therapeutic agents comprising the same stem cell are provided to treat muscle disease, osteoporosis, bone arthritis, neuronal disease and diabetes by differentiating the multipotent stem cell into muscle cell, vascular endothelial cell, osteogenic cell, nerve cell, astrocyte, adipocyte, cartilage-forming cell or insulin-secreting pancreatic beta-cell. A multipotent stem cell derived from placenta tissue is obtained by culturing amnion, serous membrane, decidua basalis or placenta tissue in a medium containing bFGF(basic fibroblast growth factor) and collecting the stem cell. A cellular therapeutic agent for muscle disease comprises a muscle cell which is obtained by culturing the placenta stem cell pretreated with azacytidine for one day in SKBM(skeletal muscle cell basal medium) medium. A cellular therapeutic agent for neuronal disease comprises a nerve cell which is obtained by preculturing the placenta stem cell in DMEM(Dulbecco's modified eagle's medium) medium containing BME(basal media eagle) and FBS(fetal bovine serum), and treating the precultured medium with DMSO(dimethyl sulfoxide) and BHA(butylated hydroxyanisole).
