PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid excessive increase in the size of a driving device, prevent heat from being transmitted to a recording element and reduce consumption of power. SOLUTION: In a switch 81 provided on the driving device and connected with a driver 71, when a prescribed potential is not provided to a gate electrode 94, a terminal 92 and a lever 93 are separated from each other (separated condition). When the prescribed potential is provided to the gate electrode 94, in the corresponding switch 81, a lever 93 is deformed by an electrostatic force between the lever 93 and the gate electrode 94 to come into contact with the terminal 92, and the terminal 91 and the terminal 92 are connected with each other through a lever 93 (contacting condition). A plurality of the drivers 71 are respectively connected with the terminals 91 of two or more switches 81, and when the driving potential is outputted from the drivers 71, the driving potential is provided to the surface electrode 44 connected with the switches 81 under the contacting condition.
