A method and a marine front-end gear (300) for connecting a set of streamers (304) to a towing vessel (302). The front-end gear includes ropes (310) for connecting a first sub-set of streamers to the vessel; lead-ins (320) for connecting a second sub -set of streamers to the vessel; and a back loop cable (350) electrically connected between tails of first and second adjacent streamers. The first streamer (310A) belongs to the first sub- set of streamers and the second streamer (310B) belongs to the second sub- set of streamers, and streamers of the first sub- set are interspersed with streamers of the second sub - set.
