PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print and eject a verification image as long as a transfer medium for image verification, which has not been printed, is available during pre-purge processing to be performed when a paper jam occurs in an image formation system.SOLUTION: Included are an image formation unit that prints a transfer medium on the basis of image data, a transportation unit that transports the transfer medium, and a control unit that controls the printing and transportation. The control unit includes an image verification printing feature of printing a verification image on the transfer medium, and a pre-purge processing feature that, if a paper jam occurs during transportation of a transfer medium, discharges a valid transfer medium on a downstream side beyond a paper jam occurrence point, and discharges a transfer medium on an upstream side beyond the paper jam occurrence point to a paper ejection destination. During the pre-purge processing, if a transfer medium for a normal job on which an image has not been formed is present, paper is ejected in a white paper state. If transfer media on which an image has not been formed and which are being transported or are prepared for transportation include a transfer medium for image verification printing, a verification image is printed on the transfer medium for image verification printing on which an image has not been formed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 16 |
