摘要 A piston controlling apparatus of a power steering gear for absorbing shock is provided to maintain a steering angle of a tire stably and to reduce the shock and vibration applied to the steering wheel by flowing oil in a cylinder to the opposite end and fixing a position of the piston. A piston controlling apparatus of a power steering gear for absorbing shock comprises a steering angle sensor(21), a shock sensor(22), an ECU(Electronic Control Unit)(23), multiple holes, and valve units. The steering angle sensor detects a rotary angle of a steering wheel(20). The shock sensor senses outer shock transferred to a rack bar(8) from a cylinder(6) of a power steering gear(5) to a tire. The ECU outputs a control signal of opening and closing the path selectively. The holes are formed at the piston to flow oil between the ends of a piston(9). The valve units control the opening and closing of the holes to limit the oil flow between the ends of the piston. The valve units include a valve plate(31), a step motor(35), and a power transfer device. First and second gears(34,37) are installed on the gear shaft of the middle gear rod.
