In a known arrangement for producing current pulses for semiconductor diodes emitting radiation, a piezo element is mechanically loaded and the voltage pulse thus generated is injected into the circuit of the semiconductor diode by means of a transformer. The novel arrangement is intended to make it possible to generate the current pulses without using piezo elements in addition to not using a supply voltage source. The mechanical energy pulses are transformed in an inductive manner into voltage pulses. <IMAGE>
