Diamond wire for cutting materials comprises a wire (1) provided with a coating (2), pearls (3) mounted on spacings over the wire, caps (31) carrying an alloy (32) containing diamond, and an outer rubber (4) which provides the setting for pearls to the wire, where the coated wire is formed by chemical deposition of nickel or alloy phase reaction with catalytic co-deposition of nickel and phosphorus.
