<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a code conversion circuit and an optical transmission circuit which are capable of reducing the drive speed of an electric circuit required when generating an optical duo-binary signal and capable of high-speed transmission. <P>SOLUTION: When (0) of 2 logic data is inputted, (0) of 3 logic data is outputted by an n-multiplex code conversion circuit 101. Also, when the 3 logic data prior to an outputting time point t1 of the 3 logic data by one are (+1) or (+2), the same logic is outputted to the input of (+1) of the 2 logic data. Also, when the 3 logic data prior to the time point t1 by one are (0), the n-multiplex code conversion circuit 101 dates back from the time point t1, and it checks the consecutive number of (0) during the period until a time point t2 when the output of the 3 logic data becomes (+1) or (+2) for the first time. When it is an even number, the same logic as the output at the time point t2 is outputted. When the number of (0) is an odd number and if the output at the time point t2 is (+1), (+2) is outputted, if the output at the time point t2 is (+2), (+1) is outputted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
