<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption of a single chip microcomputer. CONSTITUTION:A first sense amplifier 3 is designed so as to operate the single chip microcomputer provided with plural operating speed modes at the maximum operation mode, and a second sense amplifier 4 so as to consume low power. When a switching signal 5 is set at 'HIGH', the first sense amplifier 3 is operated, and data in a ROM 1 can be read out at high speed. At this time, the operation of the second sense amplifier 4 is stopped. Thence, when the switching signal 5 is set at 'L0W', the second amplifier 4 is operated, and the data in the ROM 1 is read out by a low power consumption operation. At this time, the operation of the first sense amplifier 3 is stopped.</p> |
