The bottle testing arrangement contains a rotating pocket star wheel (1) and a visual monitoring device directed at the bottle. The bottle (3) picked up by a pocket (1b) in the star wheel is rotated within the pocket by a braking device contg. a fixed braking element (6) against which the bottle is forced. The braking element can be a fixed belt with variable tension and fed over two belt guide plates (10,15). One of the belt guide plates can be pivotably mounted on an axle under the influence of a bias applied by a spring. USE/ADVANTAGE - Ensures defined rotation of bottles in region of visual monitoring arrangement, e.g. video camera.
