Cationic polysaccharide derivatives (I) are used to target mineral oxide particles (II) with an average diameter below 0.2 micro m on to the surface of keratinic materials and/or skin, where the compositions undergo phase separation when diluted. Water soluble or dispersible cationic polysaccharide derivatives (I) are used in rinse off aqueous cosmetic compositions to target mineral oxide particles (II) with an average diameter below 0.2 micro m on to the surface of keratinic materials and/or skin. The compositions undergo phase separation when diluted on keratinic materials and/or skin. The composition comprise /- 90 wt.% aqueous phase, and also contain anionic surfactants (III) and amphoteric surfactants (IV). The total amount of (I), (III) and (IV) = 0.5-27 wt.%. An Independent claim is also included for rinse off aqueous cosmetic compositions for keratinic materials and/or skin, where the compositions contain (I)-(IV), comprise at least 90 wt.% aqueous phase and contain a total of 0.5-27 wt.% (I), (III) and (IV), and where the nature and amounts of (I), (III) and (IV) in the aqueous phase are such that the compositions undergo phase separation when diluted. |
