<p>A device (10) for non-suture attachment of soft tissue to bone has an elongate substantially cylindrical stud (12) and a head (14) disposed on a proximal end (18) of the stud. The stud has a sidewall (22) that defines a nominal diameter (24), and the head (14) has a diameter (34) that is greater than the nominal diameter (24). At least one barb (16) is provided to retain the stud (12) within the bone. The at least one barb (16) may be constructed from a shape memory alloy. The stud (12), and the head (14) may be constructed from a bio-absorbable material.</p> |
