The arrangement has a housing (1). This contains the temperature probe (7) which measures the room temperature outside the housing. One or more heat sources are provided in or on the housing. An auxiliary temperature probe (11) is provided in the housing between the heat source(s) and the main temperature probe (7). The auxiliary temperature probe is positioned at a point where the temperature is more greatly affected by the heat flow or heat source(s) than the temperature at the main probe. The arrangement also has a computer (9) and connection leads from the probes to the computer. The computer analyses the temperature measurements of the two probes or just the auxiliary probe to determine the external temperature. Independent claims also cover a method of temperature measurement and/or regulation using the arrangement.
