A battery having a packing insertion groove on a terminal is provided to improve the adhesion between the terminal and a packing member, thereby realizing excellent sealing characteristics, and to improve the chemical resistance of a packing member and durability of a battery. A battery comprises: a container(200) having an electrode assembly and an electrolyte injected thereto; a cover(300) sealed and coupled to the bare cell; and terminals(410) joined to the side of the cover or bare cell with a packing member(420) inserted therebetween, wherein the terminal has a packing insertion groove(415) through which the packing member is inserted. The packing member is formed of a fluororesin, urea resin or urethane resin.
