A mobile communication terminal and an operating method thereof are provided to secure information on the position of the present display area in the entire screen, thereby preventing the waste of power. When displaying a predetermined area of a display object in a display member(10), a control member displays the information on the position of the displayed predetermined area together. The control member displays the position information semi-transparently. The control member displays the position information to the first box(11). The second box(12) is displayed in the inside of the first box according to the position and size occupied by the predetermined area. The size of the first box is the same as that of the display member. The display member includes an entire screen display member for displaying the entire of the display object. A partial screen display member displays a predetermined area of the display object. The control member displays the position information on the entire screen display member or the partial screen display member. |
