<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate selection operation for a virtual object in a mixed reality space. <P>SOLUTION: A manipulation system, which performs operation for selecting the virtual object in the mixed reality space, includes: an operating device 14 comprising openable and closable operation bodies 31, 32 as a pair and enabling pinching operation by the paired operation bodies 31, 32; a first detection means 23 for detecting the position of the operating device 14; a second detection means 34 for detecting that the operating device 14 has performed pinching operation; and a processing device 11 which, if the first detection means 23 detects the presence of the operating device 14 at the position of the virtual object as a selection object and if the second detection means 17 detects that the operating device 14 has performed pinching operation, determines that selection operation for the virtual object has been performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
