An adjustable bed is described, comprising at least one fixed supporting part (1), such as a bedstead or a bead frame, and a bed bottom device (2) comprising at least one part (31, 33, 34) movable relative to the fixed supporting part. A safety strip (5) of a deformable material is arranged between the fixed and the movable part.
