The present invention is a feeder device (3) provided with: a tape feeding mechanism which feeds, at a feed velocity, a carrier tape (8) composed of a bottom tape (82) that houses a component (89) in each of a plurality of component housing parts (83), and a cover tape (81) that is bonded to the bottom tape and covers the component housing parts; and a tape peeling mechanism (7) which has a tape peeling blade (73) that performs peeling while advancing between the bottom tape and the cover tape as the carrier tape is fed, the feeder device supplying the component from the component housing part at a component supply position (32). The feeder device is further provided with a feed velocity determination unit which determines a feed velocity (V) at the start of peeling, at which time the leading end of the carrier tape comes into contact with the tape peeling blade, according to the properties of multiple kinds of carrier tapes (8A, 8B, 8C) and/or the characteristic of the housed component. Consequently, it is possible to adjust the feed velocity at the start of peeling according to the kind of the carrier tape, and thereby increase a success rate of the start of peeling. |
