METHOD FOR PRODUCTION OF WOOD POWDER, DEVICE THEREFOR AND USE OF OBTAINED WOOD POWDER

The invention pertains to the field of production of wood powder and it can be used for obtaining wood processing products containing essential oils. Its object is to widen the field of use of the wood powder and to ensure production thereof preserving the maximum quantity of essential oils in its composition. To produce the wood powder it is offered to use a sawing equipment, drying equipment as well as milling equipment, which includes two disc-shaped millstones. The upper millstone (1) is connected with driving device (2), but the lower millstone (3) is placed in basin (5) with circulating cooling water. The lower millstone (3) is provided with surrounding receiver (5) for wood powder. The method offered is characterized in that primary coarse division of raw material into parts is carried out by sawing them into thin long boards, drying them in shady, naturally ventilated premises whilst the moisture content in the boards is diminished to the quantity of 7 to 8% in respect with the total mass of boards. The dried boards are sawn in small cubic type pieces. After that the milling of the cubic type pieces is carried out so that during the milling process the temperature level is not exceeding 40 0C, preferably over the range of temperature from 18 0C to 35 0C. As the raw material could be used the juniper-three wood. The use of the obtained wood powder is characterized by that it could be used against to harmful insects, for example, for scaring away moths; or it can be used for air refreshment of rooms in the form of composition educing inherent aromatic perfume; but in bathes and bath-houses it can be used in the form of infusion, as well as for rubbing in sore places of human body.
