PURPOSE:To make the surface of organic film smooth and eliminate thereby pinholes which deteriorate function of metal thin film by spraying or forcing solvent containing a little amount of fatty acid to penetrate into the surface of organic film. CONSTITUTION:A film agent having the composition 1 is supplied to the internal surface of glass panel having the phosphor screen and thereby an organic film is formed and then a solution having the composition 2 is sprayed to the glass panel. An aluminium thin film is formed on the surface, the funnel part is sealed after baking, electron gun is enclosed and thereafter the inside is exhausted. Particularly, the pinholes existing on the dot stripe of phosphor material are reduced by applying an organic solvent containing fatty acid (aceton, various alcohols and ether), while the pinholes at the outside of dot stripe of phosphor material are caused to remain. Thereby, a phosphor film can be formed and brightness of color picture tube can be improved without destroying a metal thin film in the baking process. |
