PURPOSE:To execute KANJI (Chinese character) conversion at the time of KANJI input by an operation on a touching display by partially converting an inputted reading into KANJI and displaying a corresponding compound word on a matrix in a state where selection is possible by touch input. CONSTITUTION:The inputted reading is displayed on a reading display area 1, the result of conversion is displayed in a KANJI conversion area 3 and the homonyms are displayed in individual KANJI selection areas 4a to 4h by each converted KANJI character. The inputted reading is partially converted into KANJI and the corresponding compound word is displayed on the matrix in a state where selection is possible by touch input. From among the homonyms of the respective KANJI corresponding to the inputted reading, a newly combined compound word is obtained and registered in a dictionary file. KANJI which is converted before is reproduced with its converting state and the reading inputted with an abbrebiation is converted into a formal name so that KANJI is selected from its radicals and the number of strokes. |
