<p>PURPOSE:To provide an air cleaner capable of judging the exchange time of the filter medium from a display means. CONSTITUTION:A corona discharge is generated between the electrodes 3 and 4 impressed with a high voltage by a high-voltage power source and having plural opposite charges to attract the dust on one electrode 4, and the dust is collected by a filter means 5 set close to the electrode 4 in this air cleaner. A display means 8 actuated by the potential difference produced when the filter medium 5 is contaminated and the electric resistance is lowered. When the filter medium 5 is contaminated after long use, the display means 8 is actuated to tell the exchange time of the medium 5, and hence the medium 5 is easily and accurately exchanged.</p> |
