Compounds represented by general formula (1) or prodrugs thereof, or medicinally acceptable salts of both, useful as therapeutic and preventive drugs for diseases due to acceleration of the sodium/proton exchange system wherein R1 and R2 are each independently a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic group; X1 is nitrogen or ‰C-R3; X2 is oxygen, -N(R4)-, or -C(R5)(R6)-; X3 is oxygen, -N(R7)-, -C(R8)(R9)-, or a single bond; R3, R5, R6, R8 and R9 are each independently hydrogen, halogeno, alkyl, or the like; and R4 and R7 are each independently hydrogen, alkyl, or the like.
