摘要 <p>A plasma display panel driving method and a plasma display apparatus wherein the number of write errors can be further reduced and excellent picture quality can be achieved. According to the plasma display panel driving method, a plurality of scan electrodes is divided into two scan electrode groups of odd and even rows, and the write interval of each of subfield intervals is divided into first and second sub-intervals (Ta,Tb) to which the respective scan electrode groups are assigned. During each of the sub-intervals (Ta,Tb), the scan electrodes are sequentially selected in such a manner that a selection potential (Vb) and a first non-selection potential (Vs) are applied to the scan electrodes of the scan electrode groups. A write potential (Vw) is applied to data electrodes (D1-Dm) to be selected in synchronism with the selection of the scan electrodes. It is arranged that a time (ta) in which the selection potential (Vb) is applied during the first sub-interval (Ta) be shorter than a time (tb) in which the selection potential (Vb) is applied during the second sub-interval (Tb). During the first sub-interval (Ta), a second non-selection potential (Vx) higher than the first non-selection potential (Vs) is applied to the scan electrodes (SCNb) of scan electrode groups assigned to the second sub-interval (Tb).</p>
