TECHNOLOGIES FOR MODULAR FORWARDING TABLE SCALABILITY

Technologies for modular forwarding table expandability of a software cluster switch include a plurality of computing nodes. Each of the computing nodes includes a global partition table (GPT) to determine a transmission computing node regarding a network packet received in a leading computing node of the software cluster switch based on a flow identifier of a network packet. The GPT comprises: a set mapping index corresponding to a result of a hash function applied to the flow identifier; and a hash function index to identify the hash function having an output to cause a node identifier corresponding to the transmitting computing node in which the network packet is forwarded by the leading computing node among hash function groups.
