<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reformer capable of supplying the prescribed quantity of cooling water to each cooling part of the reformer without using a flow control valve. <P>SOLUTION: Fuel reforming apparatus includes the reformer (10) provided with a plurality of cooling parts (14, 16 and 18) and producing a hydrogen enriched gas from a raw material, a fuel supply means (60), a reforming water supply means (30), reforming water distribution means (35-37), heat recovery means (L6-L10), by-pass supply means (31, 32) for directly supplying at least a part of the supplied reforming water to the reformer according to the instruction, and a control means (50) for controlling each supply quantity of the reforming water and a raw fuel according to the required hydrogen quantity. The control means increases or decreases the total flow quantity (q) while increasing or decreasing the ratio (S/C) of reforming water to the raw fuel according to the increase and the decrease of the required hydrogen quantity and when the ratio is under the lower limit, the by-pass supply means (31, 32) are operated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
