The present invention is directed to an apparatus (1) for supporting an annular bead core-apex subassembly (5), the apparatus comprising a spacer disc (3) for supporting the annular bead core-apex subassembly (5), and a clamping device comprising a supporting surface (7) for supporting the spacer disc (3), as well as a plurality of clamping elements (10,11) for selectively clamping the spacer disc (3) to the supporting surface (7). The clamping elements (10) are movable between an expanded position in which the spacer disc (3) is clamped to the supporting surface (7), and a retracted position in which the spacer disc (3) is released and can be lifted from the supporting surface (7). Moreover, the present invention is directed to a system comprising a respective apparatus for supporting an annular bead core-apex subassembly (5) as well as the subassembly. Finally, the present invention is directed to a method of transporting an annular bead core-apex subassembly (5). |
