<p>PURPOSE:To enable stable light emitting operation even with a low current in a photocoupler composed of a light emitting device and a light receiving device which are optically coupled in counterposition. CONSTITUTION:A light emitting device 1 constituting a photocoupler has a semiconductor layer 12 having a light emitting region on a semiconductor substrate 10.
