PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the storage capacity for storing respective expression images in an expression image reproducing device and method for presenting information by expression representaions. SOLUTION: This device reproduces subsidiary frames constituting other expression images from basic frames constituting a basic expression image. This expression image reproducing device has a storage means 6 in which data of basic frames expressing shapes and positions of respective partial patterns of the basic expression image and data of subsidiary frames expressing relative positional relations among plural changed points constituting respective partial patterns constituting other expression images and a reproduction means reproducing the expression image of the subsidiary frames from the data of the basic frames. Since data of sibsidiary frames can be reduced in the device, the storage capacity required for stroing expression images including the basice frames and the sibsidiary frames can be reduced.
