<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily timer-record the video signals of digital broadcasting through a digital broadcasting tuner by a VTR. SOLUTION: A system control section 5 of the digital broadcasting tuner 100 generates control information codes for indicating recording start/end, based on the control information of a VTR 120, including recording start/end time which are set by a user and sends the codes to a VBI(vertical blanking interval) data insertion device 6 at a timing corresponding to the recording start/end times. The codes are inserted to the VBI part of output video signals and transmitted to the VTR 120. The system control section 25 of the VTR 120 starts and ends recording, based on the control information codes detected from the VBI part of input video signals by a VBI data detector 24. Thus, timer recording is easily performed, without setting the timer recording on a VTR side and without connecting a cable for controlling.</p> |
