PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deflection yoke device having a dynamic convergence correcting coil and a coma-aberration correcting coil, sharing a magnetic pole or magnetic axis, but less liable to interfere with each other. SOLUTION: This deflection yoke device has a sub-deflection yoke 3 generating a magnetic field for convergence correction and is disposed on the incident side of R/G/B beams formed in line, the sub-deflection yoke 3 equipped with an eight-pole ring core 4 having a plurality of magnetic poles disposed around the R/G/B beams, auxiliary vertical deflection coils 5a to 5d mounted on the respective magnetic poles for carrying a first correction current of vertical deflection frequency, convergence coils 9a to 9d mounted on the respective magnetic poles for carrying a correction current of relatively high frequency, and damping resistances R1 to R4 and variable resistances VR1, VR2 connected in parallel with the auxiliary vertical deflection coils 5a to 5d, The deflection yoke device is further equipped with an inductor L inserted in series into a closed circuit formed of the auxiliary vertical deflection coils 5a to 5d and the damping resistances R1 to R4.
