PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bending method by a bender and its bender capable of improving an actual working time and a precision by automatically calculating a L value. SOLUTION: Trial bending is conducted based on a D value and the L value calculated by an arithmetic part on the basis of CAD information, a bending angle and a flange length of a product P bent by trial bending are measured, the measured values are inputted in conformance with the cross sectional shapes displayed on display pictures for respective processes, when a comparison/ judgment part compares the measured values to objective values of the bending angle/flange length and then judges that the measured values and the objective values are not equal, correction values are calculated based on the differences between the measured values and the objective values, bending is conducted for the D value/L value based on the corrected values. Further, when the comparison/judgment part compares the bent angle/flange length to the corrected D value/L value and then these are not equal, measurement and correction are repeated, and then bending is conducted.
