PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for effectively separating and removing wax or the like adhering to a tile surface. SOLUTION: The device for separating and removing a deposit includes a means 20 for sucking and recovering an ejected grinding and cleaning material, and a blast chamber 30 for covering a floor surface. The device also has an ejection nozzle 11 for ejecting the grinding and cleaning material, and a suction port 22 for sucking the separated deposit and the grinding and cleaning material, in the blast chamber. Further the device has an ejection box 40 covering the ejection nozzle, arranged in the blast chamber, and the ejection box has an opening facing the floor surface, and a curved wall surface for guiding the grinding and cleaning material bounced from the floor surface to the rear of the ejection nozzle.
