<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrially useful manufacturing method of carbapenem derivatives. <P>SOLUTION: A compound (I) obtained by the reaction scheme represented by formulae (wherein R<SP>1</SP>is a hydroxy-protecting group; R<SP>2</SP>is a carboxy-protecting group; and X is a halogen) and an amine salt thereof are provided.
