<p>Converting waste residues containing metallic components more reactive than Fe into a disposable material comprises: subjecting residues dispersed in scrubbing liquid to oxidation to convert metallic components to higher oxidation state; adding oxidant to suspension formed during scrubbing; measuring redox potential of scrubbing liquid; and controlling oxidant dosing depending on measured value. Preferred Features: Residues containing aluminum are scrubbed. Scrubbing is carried out at a pH of 3-5 or 7-12. The oxidant is added to the scrubbing liquid before scrubbing is carried out.</p> |
