A controller (60) regulates the switching operation of a switch (54) and the operation of a standard light source (62) to calibrate the light from an incidence end (50) and optical radiation end, before measuring the optical spectrum by a spectrometer (58). The standard light is radiated in predetermined wavelength. The optical switch selects any one from the measured light and a standard light from the optical radiation end depending on switching operation. A diffraction grating performs the diffraction of light from an entrance slit to a radiation slit in predetermined angle. A A-D converter transforms the electrical signal output from a photodetector to digital signal, as the diffraction angle is varied. A CPU processed the digital signal and output an optical spectrum measured by a spectrometer.
