PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image accepting sheet in which a toner is completely embedded in an accepting layer and recording with high picture quality is possible, and which shows excellent transparency and color reproducibility when the image is projected by an OHP. SOLUTION: This image accepting sheet has an accepting layer on at least one surface of a base body, and the thickness of the accepting layer is half or larger than the toner particle size. The accepting layer has a porous structure. By controlling the pore diameter of the porous structure to be larger than the diameter of the toner particle 1, the toner particles 1 are not molten but are completely embedded as pressed in the inside of the porous structure, and this results in good resolution of the recorded image. The accepting layer of the porous structure can be preferably formed by applying a resin varnish consisting of a resin 2, good solvent having low boiling point and poor solvent having high boiling point. When the porous accepting layer is heated and pressurized for fixing, the layer is molten, smoothened and changed into transparent to give excellent color reproducibility.
