PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a branding treatment of an artificial leather equivalent to that of a genuine leather. SOLUTION: The surface of an artificial leather H is printed with a desired design, pattern, or the like, with a dark brown-colored oily ink, and the printed part is formed with a stamping means K such as a high-frequency welder or hot press to finish the surface to an appearance as if a branding treatment were applied thereon; alternatively, the printed part is first formed with the stamping means K and the thus formed part is printed by a printing means P.
