<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving method of a DC/AC converter which converts a DC input voltage directly into an AC voltage while insulating the input and the output in DC. <P>SOLUTION: While insulating the conversion circuit input end 31 and the conversion circuit output end 32 in DC, a voltage conversion circuit 1 outputs a voltage having a polarity corresponding to that of a desired AC output to the conversion circuit output end 32. When a first switch 2 is brought into conduction state, power is supplied from the conversion circuit input end 31 to the conversion circuit output end 32 by the voltage conversion circuit 1 and the voltage at the conversion circuit output end 32 is applied to the filter input terminal 41. After power supply from the conversion circuit input end 31 to the conversion circuit output end 32 is stopped, the first switch 2 is brought into non-conduction state by the voltage conversion circuit 1. When a second switch 3 is conducted, the route of a current flowing through a filter circuit 4 is assured without applying the voltage at the conversion circuit output end 32 to the filter input terminal 41.
