Provided is a camera system for a vehicle, the camera system comprising: an objective lens (2); a first printed circuit board (5) in which an image sensor (4) configured to acquire image information via the objective lens (2) is provided; and one or more additional printed circuit boards (7 and/or 11) adapted to provide a predetermined basic function for the camera system (10 or 20), wherein the first printed circuit board (5) and the one or more additional printed circuit boards (7 and/or 11) each comprise one or more connection units (6) which electrically connect the printed circuit boards (5, 7, and/or 11) in a modular exchangeable manner in order to control a range of functions of the camera system (10 or 20) according to the predetermined basic function. |
